Our multilingual and multicultural team is made up of experienced men and women with a strong client culture. They also bring an operational background as pragmatic managers, with a clear understanding of the complexities involved in the companies and their market environments.

Our past careers and current responsibilities allow us to excel in a range of economic fields, providing us with a deep understanding of the challenges and a vast network of skills. Each sector is covered by at least one of our managers. Valtalis’ Executive Search and Sourcing business is built on a strong network of partners and executive directors, all of whom are former heads of recognised search firms. They all have experience of working both in-house and in consultancy firms and headhunting firms.

We select our technical and functional consultants based on their expertise, interpersonal skills and commitment to our company values.

Our partners involved in interim assignments are carefully selected. We provide them with assistance, monitoring and advice throughout their assignments.
Together, we build a long-term partnership based on trust and our values of listening, transparency and commitment.

Thierry Thomas, FOUNDING CHAIRMAN

Thierry spent 25 years in senior positions at major industrial and technology multinationals (Siemens, Atos, Capgemini), holding sales and profit centre management roles. He then set up Valtalis, with the ambition to use his experience and areas of expertise to help companies grow, transform and develop their human capital. His main sectors are retail, energy, industry and services. His areas of expertise are payment methods, technological impacts and new business models. He works at executive, sales and marketing management and profit centre levels.
He holds a Master’s degree in Management Science, an MBA (Babson College) and a Master’s degree in entrepreneurship from CRC/HEC.

Philippe Riley, ASSOCIATE PARTNER
EXECUTIVE SEARCH AND ‘TALENT AS A SERVICE’

A bilingual French-British graduate of INTEC, Philippe Riley has spent his entire career in sales and recruitment, mainly in the technology sector. With over 20 years’ experience in headhunting and interim management (Julhiet Sterwen, Robert Half, Bernard Riquier Conseil), Philippe can draw on the best practices in the profession. At Valtalis, he manages the recruitment practice and oversees the headhunting teams. Philippe works across all business sectors, supporting our clients in France and abroad.

Emmanuel de Perthuis, Partner – CONSULTING AND ENGINEERING

Emmanuel de Perthuis has a scientific background (ESIEE Paris) and an Executive MBA (HEC). He spent over 20 years in engineering with ALTRAN Technologies, giving him a multi-disciplinary background and a comprehensive vision of the world of engineering.
For him, combining technical expertise, entrepreneurial spirit and human adventure is a daily challenge that he takes up at Valtalis for the entire industrial and service sector. Perfectly at ease with the digital world, he works with both technical and business departments.

Renaud Ramia, Partner – Executive Search

Renaud Ramia is a graduate of PSB with almost 20 years’ experience in headhunting and HR consultancy. He has been in charge of development at Valtalis for the past 4 years and is an expert in recruitment, sourcing, RPO, assessment, monitoring and benchmarking solutions for middle and senior management in all sectors, particularly consulting, services and technology. Renaud is based in France, but also works with international clients in Europe and Africa. (Renaud is based in France, but also follows his international clients in Europe and Africa.)

Thierry mageux, Partner – BANKING, INSURANCE & PRIVATE EQUITY

Thierry launched his career at Barclays, where he worked in corporate and private banking. He then joined Robert Half to develop the Banking & Insurance business, which he managed from 2002 onwards. In 2010, he took over responsibility for developing the Banking & Insurance sector in continental Europe until 2018, when he decided to move to Colombia with his family. In 2023, Thierry returned to his passion, headhunting, and joined Valtalis to develop the Banking & Insurance business. Thierry is a leading expert in the asset management, private equity and support functions sectors, for which he regularly carries out international searches. A graduate of business school and Northeastern University, he is fluent in English and Spanish. Thierry oversees the Banking & Insurance practice at Valtalis and is our clients’ correspondent for South America.

Lazhar BERRAJAH, SENIOR RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT

Lazhar Berrajah is a trilingual graduate of INSEEC’s Talent Management Master’s program. He joined the Valtalis team in 2022 and is covering all sectors. He is responsible for actively seeking out candidates and operating the network. This involves constant monitoring, sourcing, identifying and understanding companies’ needs.
